"Just the best location for a wonderful holiday. Used the birdseed to watch the birds on the feeder and over the loch. Made friends with the chickens as well. So good to be here didn’t want to leave. So many things still to do so hope to come back."

Set in its own grounds, Lochside stands approximately
20 metres from the shore of the loch, which attracts
many birds including Ospreys in the spring and summer. Benches provide outdoor seating so guests can make the most of the long days and warmer weather of summer and enjoy barbecues and alfresco eating .  Inside there is an attractive and comfortable open-plan area for relaxing, cooking and dining.

Through the three windows in this area guests can enjoy superb views over the loch to the Cairngorm Mountains at any time of the year. The scenery is just breathtaking, but even more so in the winter when frost and snow make it absolutely stunning. There is a wood burning stove with wood kept in the 'kist' (a large chest) and further supplies available from the shed.  Comfortable seating, a colour TV (BBC 1 & 2, ITV, Channel 4 plus basic package Satellite), a video/DVD player and a selection of books and novels make this a relaxing area in which to spend time.

Pine cald walls and pine table give the dining area a traditional feel. The window looks out to the mountains and catches the afternoon sun and the kitchen is fully fitted with modern appliances including a fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
